Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using DevPilot("Service", "we", "our", or "us"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using DevPilot, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

DevPilot is a SaaS platform that helps development teams streamline their code review and release processes. Features include:

  • Automated reviewer assignment for pull requests
  • Configurable review reminders
  • Sprint tracking and notifications
  • Branch re-routing between release cycles
  • Integrations with GitHub, Bitbucket, Jira, Slack, and Microsoft Teams

3. Account Registration

3.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and have the legal authority to enter into these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized access or security breaches. We are not liable for losses caused by unauthorized account access.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems or networks
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Upload malicious code or content
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights
  • Share account credentials with unauthorized parties
  • Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service

5. Third-Party Integrations

DevPilot integrates with third-party services including GitHub, Bitbucket, Jira, Slack, and Microsoft Teams. Your use of these integrations is subject to the respective third-party terms of service. We are not responsible for third-party service availability or data handling practices.

6. Data and Content

6.1 Your Data

You retain ownership of all data you provide to the Service. By using DevPilot, you grant us a limited license to process your data solely for providing the Service.

6.2 Data Processing

We process data from connected integrations (pull requests, sprints, user information) as necessary to provide our features. See our Privacy Policy for details on data handling.

7. Subscription and Payment

7.1 Billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. You authorize us to charge your payment method for applicable fees.

7.2 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you will retain access until the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial periods.

7.3 Price Changes

We may change subscription prices with 30 days notice. Price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by DevPilot and protected by intellectual property laws. Our trademarks may not be used without prior written consent.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DEVPILOT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DevPilot and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of significant changes. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

13. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately for violations of these Terms or for any reason with 30 days notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which DevPilot is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles.

15. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with applicable rules.

16. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and DevPilot regarding the Service.
